BC-275 Ball Catch

The BC-275 brass mortised ball catch, consisting of a brass cylinder with spring-loaded steel ball and a brass keeper, is used to secure cabinet doors. The grooved sides of each half, measuring 11 mm in diameter, provide grip when mounted and a reservoir for glue.

Third or fourth time buying your hinges. These were purchased near the time of the ball catches. The ball catches were terrific, although you could/should lengthen instructions. See Garrett Hack Fine Woodworking 2011.The steel starter screws included with my hinge order were defective. I’ll explain.I predrilled and turned in 2 screws in each of 3 hinges. When **** them back out, the tops of 3 (3 out of 6) broke off leaving most of the tips imbedded.Not a good situation digging them out. I had saved the starter screws from a previous order fortunately.

I’ll explain.
I predrilled and turned in 2 screws in each of 3 hinges. When screwing them back out, the tops of 3 (3 out of 6) broke off leaving most of the tips imbedded.
Not a good situation digging them out.
I had saved the starter screws from a previous order fortunately.
